Our Story

Hi, I'm April — the maker, inventor, and heart behind Lil' Bayou Boutique, nestled in the beautiful bayous of Southeast Louisiana.

My journey started where so many great ideas do: with a problem that needed solving. As a former EMT and lifelong caregiver, I've always been drawn to helping people — especially those navigating the challenges that come with medical needs. When I discovered that families of children with g-tubes were struggling to find functional, comfortable, and adorable accessories, I knew I could help.

So I invented one. The G-Tube Tummy Time Pillow — a specially designed pillow that allows babies, toddlers and children with feeding tubes to comfortably lie on their stomachs during tummy time without discomfort or risk to their g-tube site. It's a simple idea that makes a big difference in the daily lives of tube-fed babies and their families.

From that first pillow, Lil' Bayou Boutique grew into a full collection of handmade accessories designed specifically for children with special needs — including g-tube belts to protect feeding tube buttons, g-tube pads, car seat ponchos for safe and cozy winter travel, and medical alert seatbelt covers.

Every single item in this shop is sewn by me, by hand, with care. I take pride in the quality of every stitch, and I pour my background in caregiving and emergency medicine into every product I design. These aren't just accessories — they're solutions made by someone who genuinely understands what your family needs.
